Narangba Spinal Flow

Hello, I'm Karyn ... a mum, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend ... I embarked on a transformative journey from a 30-year corporate healthcare career in diagnostic imaging to pursue my true passion.

In December 2021, I bid farewell to my administrative role and embraced a new chapter.  Rapidly diving into the Spinal Flow Technique, I completed my training and became a certified Practitioner by June 2022.  Now, I have my own a home- based Spinal Flow healing space in Narangba, Brisbane.

My commitment to learning extends beyond Spinal Flow, having studied at The Coaching Institute in Melbourne and delved into somatic breathwork and quantum healing.  I am fuelled by a perpetual passion for education, ensuring I grow and evolve throughout my life.

In my free time I love spending quality time with my energetic 5-year-old granddaughter.  Together we embark on fun filled adventures, usually in nature, a testament to the energy and flexibility I've maintained at 62.  Travel is another love, with Italy holding a special place in my heart.  In March, I'll be heading to Barcelona as student support for Spinal Flow graduates, exploring Spain and Portugal in the process.

I find joy in life's simple pleasures - walking, biking, beach strolls, coffee dates,  reading , tending to my herbs and citrus trees, and camping with my family.  These activities not only recharge me but also provide a balanced perspective to my holistic approach to health.

Driven by an unwavering belief in the body's ability to heal itself, I am on a mission to empower women to trust their body's wisdom unlocking and clearing out those blockages and the traumas they hold so they can live a life they love.

At the core of the Spinal Flow Technique is the science and an understanding of the role of the nervous system.  Comprising the brain and spinal cord, this intricate network commands and coordinates every facet of our being.  It's the silent operator supporting life and facilitating our interaction with both our internal and external worlds.  Yet when blockages disrupt this process, the potential for pain, dis-ease and illness arises.  The Spinal Flow Technique seeks to identify and alleviate these blockages, returning the body back to balance and wellness.

The Spinal Flow Technique is embedded in a deep trust in the body's inherent wisdom, and the body's ability to mend itself with its own innate intelligence.  At its heart is the spinal wave, a conduit of energy flowing through the body; this wave pulsating with life force energy, communicates with every cell, ligament, muscle, tendon, tissue and organ.   By embracing this philosophy, the Spinal Flow Technique taps into the body's natural healing process, releasing blockages and promoting a profound sense of well-being. In the Art of Spinal Flow, touch is the powerful medium for transformation. Practitioners use a gentle, yet intentional touch to identify blockages within the spine.  By connecting with specific access points on the sacrum and cranium, messages are sent to awaken the body's healing wisdom.  This intentional touch increases the spinal wave, and decreases the blockages, allowing healing to happen.  This breakthrough technique has helped thousands of people recover from conditions including (but not limited to) headaches, back pain, disc injuries, digestive problems, stress and depression.

THE 3 MOST COMMON STRESSORS

1

Physical

Physical stress is often the result of various factors, including accidents in different settings such as car accidents, horse riding incidents, workplace related injuries.  When the body fails to fully heal from these stressors, weaknesses may develop, causing layers of stress to accumulate over time.  Everyday causes including activities such as bending, twisting, lifting, certain sleeping positions, poor posture, excessive sitting, falls, and childbirth are also significant contributors to physical stress.

2

Chemical

Chemical stress occurs when the body is unable to effectively metabolise and eliminate toxins, leading to the accumulation of blockages in the nervous system.  Children are particularly susceptible due to their ongoing development and higher consumption of food and water per kg of body weight compared to adults.  Additionally, their skin absorbs toxins more easily.  The most effective way to minimise harm from chemical stressors is through prevention.  Everyday sources including exposure to chemicals in the environment, the food we consume, household products, environmental toxins, medication, drugs, alcohol and personal care products.

3

Emotional

Emotional stress is triggered by various forms of trauma, and it doesn't necessarily have to be significant to create a blockage.  Common sources of emotional stress include bullying, physical and sexual abuse, psychological abuse, financial pressure, relationship-related triggers, replaying past memories, holding onto narratives that don't serve us, and being on the receiving end of someone's anger.  Recognising and addressing emotional stressors is crucial for maintaining mental and emotional wellbeing.

The Spinal "Wave" unlocks your body's innate healing potential

When contact is made with an access point on the sacrum or cranium it's not just a touch it's the ignition of the "spinal wave"; it's the awakening of your core or life force energy.

The "wave" becomes the messenger carrying vital information throughout the spine, it locates and releases blockages, remnants of stress that has obstructed your flow.

As the "wave" grows it's retracing its steps, delicately navigating the stored information that was once deemed unsafe.

Our body is way smarter than the "logical" side of our brain!
