Frequently Asked Questions

Is Spinal Flow safe?

Yes.  Spinal Flow is very safe and gentle.  There is no contraindication to Spinal Flow Technique.

How long will it take until I notice a change in my body?

Spinal Flow results vary.  Some clients enjoy immediate results.  Others take several months or longer.  This is dependent upon how long the stress has been stored in the body and the severity of the blockages.  Children often respond quickly, while adults with longstanding spinal problems heal more slowly because the stored stress has been held in the body longer.  The healing process takes time.

How does it work?

Practitioners establish direct communication with your nervous system by interacting with the 33 access points located along the spine and the head. When contact is made with an Access Point, your body identifies it as a gateway to ease, triggering a spinal wave that progressively travels up and down your spine. This wave works to soften, shift, and release blockages encountered along its path.

We play a pivotal role in guiding your body away from the fight/flight response, ushering it into the parasympathetic state of rest and digestion. This transition enables your body's innate wisdom to flow freely, facilitating its natural healing processes. The ultimate result? Not only a structural realignment but also the release of stress and stored trauma, accompanied by a profound sense of peace, connection, and overall ease.

What to expect after your first Spinal Flow healing session?

You may feel great after today, you may feel terrible and achey or you may feel no different at all.  All these responses are normal and expected.  If you feel no different, don't get upset, it's ok it takes time, it's the same when we decide to tone our biceps for example - you wouldn't go to a gym for a couple of sessions a week and expected toned muscles straight away, permanent change takes time.  Our goal is to restore your health and get rid of your symptoms.  This takes time.  There will be periods of highs and lows - stick with it as we are moving toward the direction of good health, and I know without a doubt that healing happens with every session.

Why is it important to drink water after a Spinal Flow session?

Chemical stress is one of the easier stressors to release from the body and you will have released a lot of toxins during your session.  HYDRATION is the most effective way of releasing toxins from your body.  If you don't drink enough water following your session (minimum 1.5 litres recommended) you may feel queasy.

Why do Spinal Flow Practitioners recommend such intensive treatment to begin with?

Now that you have made the commitment to heal our primary focus is to reduce or eliminate your most obvious symptoms to get quick positive change.

What part do I play in my Spinal Flow healing?

In the process of spinal flow healing, your active role comes into play after your Practitioner conducts posture and gateway assessments. They will provide insights into areas of stress within your body, encompassing physical, chemical, and emotional.  For instance, if you're a regular consumer of 6 cups of caffeine or coffee daily, a collaborative decision might be made to decrease your daily intake by 2 cups.  The effectiveness of the results hinges on your personal commitment to the agreed adjustments, emphasizing the vital connection between your dedication to self-care and the overall healing outcome.
